Project Spotlight: Pulse Technologies
Spring 2005 saw Gorski Engineering constructing a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art production facility for Pulse Technologies, one of the nation's leading suppliers of precision machined metal components. Pulse had worked with Gorski a decade and a half earlier, and turned once again to the Gorski team in 2004 for a comprehensive design-build solution to their expansion plans.
The main structure is a pre-engineered building by Butler Manufacturing. The bold front elevation is a hybrid system of Butler Steel and conventional metal framing, finished in split block masonry and EFIS, with ample windows, giving the appearance of a conventionally constructed two story office building.
A dramatic two story foyer welcomes visitors, and features an open stairway. An elevator serves the 10,000 square foot upper level. Standard office finishes are accented with detailed flooring designs and a variety of paint colors.
Gorski designed the site to accommodate a future building expansion, as well as the parking requirements for multi shifts. The site features extensive landscaping and a stormwater management system that includes a created wetland. Pulse is one of the area's most rapidly growing companies and has attained record production levels since moving into the new facility.
